Beacon BluetoothTag is a classic variant of the device that acts as a radio beacon with a diameter of 30 mm. Thanks to a single unit, it is possible to determine the position of an object on the basis of the RSSI index, which is proportional to the distance between the transmitter and receiver. Location accuracy can be significantly improved by increasing the number of transmitters and using the triangulation method.
The device was made in the Bluetooth 5 standard. It is powered by a CR2477 battery with a capacity of 1000 mA, which, depending on the selected level of activity, may allow for cycles of months or several years. The battery is placed in a special basket on the back of the device. The heart of the unit is the nRF52832 microcontroller, compatible with the Bluetooth 5 standard, with a maximum transmission power of +4 dBm.
Beacon BluetoothTag is designed for wall mounting. For data transmission, the device uses a built-in ceramic antenna, the distribution curve of which guarantees the best results of work in a position parallel to the wall.
